Studio One 4 Artist Having Trouble With Demos Tutorials to Show Next to the New Feed

Hi All!
The "Demos and Tutorials" Tab on the right hand side of the opening Screen, next to "News Feed".
comes up with a "Feed not available" note.
The "News Feed" updates regularly OK.
Has the link to "Demos and Tutorials" been discontinued, or is there a setting of which I'm not aware to activate this Link?

A good thing to do is to log into your account and get into your Studio One V3 software area. Scroll down and you will see Extra Downloads/Demos and Tutorials. (make sure you select the correct platform e.g. Mac to PC)

Download them into a folder and then you can go directly in there and open them up. There will be some data involved so really you will have to download them anyway.

Not sure what the tab is on the opening page though. But even if something does appear there you are going to have to download it anyway.

There are some good demos/tutorials and some of them will test your system out pretty well too. I am sure if you look around as well there are others.

Yes, there are many great tutorials out there! Personally, I often use Studio One Expert. We were however curious about that tab on the Start page, Was it used before perhaps or is it an upcoming feature? I'm new to Studio One,

Hi Guys!
I do seem to remember, maybe back in Studio One 2, that a click on this Tab would bring up some great Demos and Tutorials.
Maybe this Tab could simply link to the appropriate Presonus Studio One You Tube Page. No biggie really though!

Normally the "Demos and Tutorials" tab should look similar to this after installation:

By default (Windows users) the "Demos and Tutorials" content is installed in the following directory:

The path below (other than the "kbjdad" part) is the default location for Songs, Projects, Presets, etc. This is also where the "Demos and Tutorials" directory is created along with it's content. The root directory can be changed if you want to move everything to another location. To do so, you'll need to change the path found in Studio One> Options> Locations> User Data:

If the installation screen shows that it's already installed and yet doesn't appear in the "Demos and Tutorials" tab, another place to check is what's configured in the "Installhistory.xml" file located in the following (see below) directory. Make sure that the path to where these files are located match the URL entry in this file. If not and you're comfortable using a text editor like Notepad++, just edit the file to match and save. Please note that Studio One should not be opened when editing this file.

If you find that the "Demos and Tutorials" directory doesn't contain any content you can always download the zip file from your My.PreSonus account. Then click, drag and drop it to the Studio One Start page to install.

Bonus: Here's a treat for those users that had Studio One 3 previously installed and wonder what happened to those demo songs after upgrading to Studio One 4. Chances are the songs may still be on your computer and just needs an update to the file used to display the songs in the "Demos and Tutorials" listing. Attached is the updated version that needs to be unzipped and copied to the following directory (assuming it's still your default location):

I added back the v3 demos I'd deleted because they didn't show up. I also d/l'd and added the v2 demos and copied the appropriate lines from the v2 demos.xml into the demos.xml file you provided.

This doesn't work for me. I don't have the installhistory.xml.
- Downloading any extensions via Studio One fails after a few Megabytes.
- Downloading via my account works for all soundsets but I can't install the demos and tutorials.

It's difficult to suggest a solution with the limited information you've provided. Please update your system specs in your signature (see mine under the Help links below for an example).

The "Studio One Demos and Tutorials.zip" download is a large file but it should work if you have an adequate Internet bandwidth connection.

I have the same problem. When downloading the "Demos and Tutorials as well as some soundsets in Studio One 4, it will download a few MB then get hung up. My cpu usage goes to 100% and I have to use the task manager to end Studio One 4. This looks like a bug in Studio One 4. I can download anything else except those. and it happens on every attempt. In this screenshot, it got to 18.9 MB downloading Impact XT Kits and Sounds then locked up.
